Haha I knew you'd get a ban for that when I saw what you wrote in that thread :P. I had a similar thing happen to me from Malachy, for linking a user who made an already-existing club to the original club (my ban was three days though, and he then added an extra day to my ban for pming him, asking him why he banned me when I was only being helpful).
I don't get what's wrong with backseat modding. Sure, if us normal users act as if we command an army of moderators to lock and ban threads at our own will, then that's bad, but if we help users, and mods call it backseat modding, then that's unfair. Seriously, what's the problem with us saying 'there's a forum for that already' and being helpful?
Probably why I'll never want to be a forum mod. No way am I banning people for being helpful, like the mods are already doing...
